Collaborative Leadership
This is a seminar in which students will address their individual personality traits as the basis for collaborating with others. True collaborative leadership emulates the words of the Chinese philosopher Sun Tzu,
“When the work of the people is finished, they will say we did it.”
In the course we will explore novels, plays, and writings about leaders in fictional settings to analyze how they dealt with power, control and the cultural settings in which they existed. These readings will serve as the basis for developing an understanding of collaboration in leadership.
