COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a seminar in which students explore the relationship between economic and political transformation. We address key questions about the nature of capitalism, its need for regulation, its relationship to democracy and economic globalization. The course addresses how political leaders respond to changes in international and domestic economic conditions.
